The Mississippi National Baptist State Convention will be held at the First Baptist Church of Biloxi, Mississippi.  The host Pastor is Rev. Eric Dickey.  On Tuesday, Dr. P. Randolph Hamilton will preach at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Larry Jointer will preach at 7:30 p.m., and Rev. Jaymar Jackson will preach at 10:00 p.m. (late night service). 


The Youth Convention will be held on Wednesday and Thursday.  Mt. Wade youth will depart the church at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.


Class Guide & Facilitators


H&S CLASS; Musicians & Choir Clinic  Rev. Jaymar Jackson is the Senior Pastor of the Judah Missionary Baptist Church, Laurel, Mississippi.  He is married to the former Ms. Marlene Moody of Laurel, Mississippi.  Together they have one son, Jaymar Jackson II.  Rev. Jackson is the Assistant Youth Director of the Mississippi National Baptist State Convention, a graduate of Laurel High School, and the University of Southern Mississippi.  He currently is employed by the Laurel School District where he serves as the 9th Grade High School Principal.  Rev. Jackson is well known for his ability to train and lead choirs to enhance their vocal and musical gifts.  His vocal talents and the spiritual delivery enhances the worship experience.  (Class Time:  5:30-6:30 p.m, July 27-29)





H&S CLASS; Ministers Wives  Mrs. Zandra Hamilton is the First Lady of the Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of (her husband) Dr. P. Randolph Hamilton, Sr.  She is a graduate of Laurel High School after which she continued her education at the University of Mississippi, the University of Southern Mississippi, and Alcorn State University.  She holds a B.S. in Physical Education and a Masters of Education in Psychology.  She is a member of the Zeta Phi Beta and serves as chapter Vice President.  She is a member of the Mississippi National Baptist State Convention She has worked in education for twelve years and is currently employed by the Brookhaven School District.  She coaches basketball for the Junior Varsity and Varsity Girls team.  She is a former volleyball and track coach.  Her passion for the word of God and her commitment to serving the people God, makes her a valuable asset to the Body of Christ.  (Class Time:  5:30-6:30 p.m, July 27-29)



H&S CLASS; Spiritual Growth:  Rev. E. Darnell Moffett the Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Magee, Mississippi.  He is the Congress Director for the First Sweet Pilgrim Sunday School & BTU Congress.  He is a graduated of Taylorsville High School and holds BS and MS degrees in physics from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He also has a degree in Executive Management and Leadership from Rice University, Houston, TX, and The Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, NC.  He studied at Houston Graduate School of Theology in Houston, TX, and is currently pursuing a doctorate of Theology from William Carey University, Hattiesburg, Ms.  His professional employment began at the University of Southern Mississippi as a Research Associate in the department of physics. He then worked for seventeen (17) years in the US domestic and international oil and gas industry for the international energy major BP/Amoco in the New Orleans, LA and Houston, TX offices. In the oil industry he worked in the roles of exploration geophysicist, international business developer, and exploration program manager of Algeria, North Africa. Upon returning to Mississippi in 2000, he worked and volunteered in secondary education in the roles of mentor, in school suspension officer, coordinator for computer based learning, and math teacher.  Presently he is a part time adjunct physical science instructor at Copiah Lincoln Community College.  (Class Time:  6:30-7:30 p.m, July 27-29)



H&S CLASS; Women Living Beautiful  Ms. Pamela Dickey is a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, D’Iberville, Mississippi were she serve as the Executive Administrator under the leadership of Pastor (Dr. K. Maurice Davis, President of the Mississippi National Baptist State Convention).  She has served as Little Tabbers Preschool Director, Church Secretary for the Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She has served as the JWA President for the Shiloh Missionary Baptist District Association and South Mississippi State Convention, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Vice President of the National Baptist Convention of America, Inc. Junior Women Auxiliary, as well as the Registration Team for the NBC, Inc.  Currently she is the Special Assistant of the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc.  She serve as an Instructor/Facilitator for the NBCA, National Congress of Discipleship as well as the MNBSC Educational Conference.  She holds a B.S. degree in Biological Science with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi, and holds a Masters of Divinity Degree from Payne Theological Seminary, in Wilberforce, Ohio.  She is the CEO of Dickey Brothers Memorial Funeral Home, Biloxi, Mississippi,  a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., NAACP, and Coordinator of the TMBC Prison Ministry. H&S CLASS; Standing Against The Odds  Deacon Roderick Henderson is a member of the Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church.  He is a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Grambling State University, and Mississippi College were he received his Masters of Educational Leadership Degree.  At Grambling State University, he played football under legendary Coach Eddie Robinson and earned All SWAC, All Louisiana, and All American Honors.  He also received a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice in 1994 (GSU).  He serves as on the Deacon Ministry at Mt. Wade and is the Ministry Leader for the Brotherhood Ministry.  He is employed by the Brookhaven School District.  He worked as a teacher and football coach for 12 years (winning the 2004 Class 4A Mississippi State Championship); the former Principal of Alexander Junior High (with the highest test scores in the Brookhaven School District) for 7 years, and now serves as the Deputy Superintendent of the Brookhaven School District.  He is married to the former Ms. Stephanie Johnson and together they have 2 sons (Roderick & Michael).  Deacon Henderson is a passion leader with a special gift for connecting with young males.  (Class Time:  6:30-7:30 p.m, July 27-29)


 

H&S CLASS; Destiny’s Child - Woman or Lady?  Mrs. Valarie Moore is a member of the Mt. Wade Baptist Church.  She is a graduate of Southern University and A&M with a B.S. in Political Science.  She received her Masters Degree in Public Administration from Belhaven University.  She is currently employed (12 years) by the Brookhaven Recreational Department as Program Supervisor.  She is married to Mr. Shannon Moore and together they have three children, Tavis, Ty, and Trey.  She has special love for children of all ages and serves as foster parent for the Department of Human Services.  Mrs. Moore is a great addition to the Mt. Wade family and the H&S Conference Staff.  (Class Time:  6:30-7:30 p.m, July 27-29)




H&S CLASS; The Plan of Salvation  Mrs. Doris Jointer is a member of the Mt. Wade Baptist Church.  She is a graduate of Alcorn State University.  She is a 30+ year veteran educator is currently employed by the Brookhaven School District.  Her ministry experience, Christian ethics, faithful service, and passion for ministry makes her ideal to serve the H&S Conference.  She loves working with young people as they discover and learn more about Jesus Christ.  It is her desire to help them to understand salvation, worship, praise, and how to commit their life to serve Him faithfully.  As a follower of Christ, she discovered His plan and perspective were much bigger and better (notice this does not say easier or more comfortable) than her plan.  She continues to teach and is continually blown away by the opportunities God gives her to be part of what he is doing in her life and the lives of people around her.  As a new member of the team, we believe she will bring a new burst of enthusiasm and excitement in the Conference Youth Department.  (Class Time:  6:30-7:30 p.m, July 27-29)



H&S CLASS; Bible Stories for Children  Mrs. Barbara Crossley is a members of the Mt. Wade Baptist Church.  She is a native of Tuskegee, Alabama.  She is married to Mr. Micheal Crossley of Brookhaven, MS; and together they have three children and four grandchildren.  She graduated from Tougaloo College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. After 33 year of teaching the Brookhaven School District, she retired and now serves the Mt. Wade Baptist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Instructor, Youth Ministry Sponsor, Sisterhood Ministry, Usher Ministry, Choir Ministry, and where ever else she is needed in the church.  She is a veteran Conference Staff member.  Her passion for Christ, love of children, and knowledge of scripture, makes her the ideal story teller.  Children will leave her class inspired and informed on a level understanding that each child will be able to retell the story.  (Class Time:  6:30-7:30 p.m, July 27-29)



GUEST EVANGELIST  Dr. F. Benard Mitchel is the Senior Pastor of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, Mendenhall, Mississippi.  He is known across the nation as a.k.a., “Mississippi Mitchel.”  He is one of the national most sought after Evangelist.  He is a graduate of Jackson State University with a degree in Finance Marketing.  He received his Bachelor, Masters of Divinity from E.L. White Theological Seminary.  In 2000, he completed his Thesis and received a Doctorate of Divinity Degree (E.L. White Theological Seminary).  He serve as the 2nd Vice Moderator of the Spring Hill District Association, member of the Board of Directors for the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi, Board of Trustee of Mississippi Baptist Seminary, and Late Night Director for the National Baptist State Convention of America, International, Inc.  Dr. Mitchell is no stranger to the Mt. Wade Church family.  He served as the evangelist for the Annual Fall Revival from 2010-2012.  We are excited to have this powerful, potent, and prophetic preacher to share with us again.  As people across the country say, “Don’t go heaven until you hear Dr. F. Benard Mitchell.”  (Worship begins at 7:30 p.m. nightly.)
